Super Polymerization is one of the strongest cardsto have ever been printed inYu-Gi-Oh! The ability to fuse both players' Monsters is not to be understated, especially since its activation can't be responded to.
RELATED:Yu-Gi-Oh! The 10 Best “Blue-Eyes” Cards In The Game, Ranked
Thanks to this, Super Polymerization is a fantastic card for Decks that go second to take care of problem boards, as well as a solid choice in the Side Deck. While a player may use Super Polymerization to Fusion Summon their own Monsters, its power comes from being able to dismantle opposing Fields. Due to how many Fusion Monsters that use generic materials, Super Polymerization can Summon them while using only the opponent's own Monsters.
Updated January 9th, 2021 by Johnny Garcia:Yu-Gi-Oh! is a game of constantly changing metas as new product and ban lists come out. The latest ban list has brought Super Polymerization back into the forefront as cards that tore cores out from your hand have been banned. The banning of Dragon Buster Destruction Sword was the biggest hurdle for Super Polymerization, as being locked out of the Extra Deck severely dampened Super Polymerization. With those cards out of the game, Super Polymerization is back and viable once more. It's still a perfect Side Deck card, and with so many powerful Monsters in the game, having an easy way to deal with them is fantastic.
THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY
15/15 Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste
Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste is a bit specific in its materials, requiring a Dragon-Type Synchro Monster as well as a Warrior Monster. Luckily, thanks to the power of Borreload Savage Dragon, a Dragon-Type Synchro Monster being on the field isn't too farfetched.
Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste generally only has a place in Warrior decks, since those Types are much less common. Its effects aren't very useful (and in some cases impossible to activate depending on your deck), but its stats more than makeup for it. It has an incredibly high Attack, making it hard to get rid of.
14/15 Panzer Dragon
Panzer Dragon can be hard to make but is a perfect option for the Side Deck in a deck that plays Machine Type Monsters. For materials, Panzer Dragon requires one Dragon-Type Monster and one Machine-Type Monster.
While Machines aren't always the most common Monster Type, Dragons on the other hand are one of the most popular. Using Super Polymerization after the summon of Crystron Halqifibrax (a Machine-Type Monster) can interrupt the opponent's combo by getting rid of their best Monster to Link Climb with. Panzer Dragon also has solid Defense and the ability to destroy a card on the field if it gets destroyed.
13/15 Borreload FuriousDragon
One of the lesser-known Borreload cards, Borreload Furious Dragon is a fantastic Super Polymerization target when going up against decks with a heavy amount of Dragon-Type Monsters. It only requires two Dark Dragon Monsters as materials, something popular Dragon decks like Dragon Link utilize plenty of.
Once on the field, it allows you to destroy one card on your side of the field to also destroy a card on the opponent's field. If Borreload Furious Dragon is in the Graveyard, it can Banish itself to Special Summon a Dark Link Monster from the Graveyard as well.
12/15 First Of The Dragons
Thankfully, Tokens count as Normal Monsters, making First Of The Dragons a solid Super Polymerization target in metas with a lot of Token generators. First Of The Dragons is a deceptively powerful Fusion Monster, and hard to get rid of as most decks don't run Normal Monsters.
First Of The Dragons can only be Fusion Summoned, and it can not be destroyed by battle except with Normal Monsters. It's also unaffected by Monster effects, giving it tons of protection as only Spell and Trap cards can destroy it. It's got a respectable 2700 Attack as well, giving it even more lasting power.
11/15 Predaplant Triphyoverutum
Not only is it a mouthful, but Predaplant Triphyoverutum is one of the best field breakers when the opponent has a lot of Dark Monsters on their side of the field. Its materials require three Dark Monsters of any kind, although its effects utilizing Predator Counters won't come up when used for the purposes of Super Polymerization.
What can be used is the ability to negate the Summon of a Monster from the Extra Deck once per turn. Not only do you rid the field of three Dark Monsters, but you also gain access to a very powerful negation effect as well as a Monster with high stats.
10/15 Invoked Elysium
While Invoked Elysium isn't the most generic card out there, it's still very powerful. Invoked is one of the most prominent engines in the metagame, and shows no sign of going away anytime soon. Invoked Elysium also uses the most generic materials when it comes to Invoked, requiring only an Invoked Monster, as well as a Monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck. Even if the player using Super Polymerization isn't playing Invoked, they can easily make an Extra Deck Monster and then use the opponent's Invoked Monster against them. This can be useful for getting around problem Monsters such as Invoked Mechaba.
9/15 Brotherhood Of The Fire Fist - Swan
Brotherhood Of The Fire Fist - Swan is the go-to Super Polymerization target against Decks that run Beast-Warrior Type Monsters. The materials only require two of any Beast-Warrior Monsters, making it very generic and easy to Summon.
RELATED:Yu-Gi-Oh!: The 10 Most Powerful Spell Cards, Ranked
It can't use any of its effects outside of a Fire Fist Deck, but it's still a solid 2600 Attack Monster. In addition, it is a Level 8 Monster, enabling it to go into powerful Rank 8 Xyz Monsters. The biggest downside to Brotherhood Of The Fire Fist - Swan is that Beast-Warrior isn't the most common Type, meaning it's harder to Summon outside ofcertain metagames.
8/15 Predaplant Chimerafflesia
The addition of Predaplant Verte Anaconda made Predaplant Chimerafflesia much more prominent. Predaplant Verte Anaconda is incredibly powerful if its effect to use a Fusion Spell from the Deck, and thanks to Super Polymerization being a Quick-Play Spell, it can be used on the opponent's turn. This enables Super Polymerization to be chained to the Summon of Predaplant Verte Anaconda before it can be used. Predaplant Chimerafflesia only requires a Predaplant Monster as well as any Dark Monster, one of the most common Attributes in all ofYu-Gi-Oh!
7/15 Dragonecro Nethersoul Dragon
A staple in Zombie Decks, Dragonecro Nethersoul Dragon is a powerful and easy Monster to Summon. For materials, all it requires is two Zombie Type Monsters. It is especially easy to Summon with Zombie World on the Field, as it will make all Monsters into that Type.

In addition, it comes with a useful effect where if it attacks a Monster that has a Level, the Attack of that Monster becomes 0 and the player attacking gets to Special Summon a Token equal to the Attack and Level of that Monster.
6/15 Earth Golem @Ignister
Earth Golem @Ignister is a fantastic card for going second, thanks to how its materials enable it to break popular end boards. For materials, Earth Golem @Ignister requires a Cyberse Monster and a Link Monster. Both of these are very common, and even if the opponent doesn't have a Cyberse Monster out, it's very easy to make one with how many Cyberse Link Monsters there are. It also prevents damage for the rest of the turn, and if it attacks a Monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, it will double its Attack.
5/15 Predaplant Dragostapelia
Predaplant Dragostapelia continues the trend of Predaplant Monsters being generic and powerful. For materials, all Predaplant Dragostapelia needs is a Fusion Monster and a Dark Monster. Dark Monsters are incredibly easy to meet the requirement for, and Fusion Monsters, while not the most common can still be easily used in the right matchups. Predaplant Dragostapelia also comes with a fantastic ability that can place a Predator Counter on any Monster that is Level 2 or Higher. These make it a Level 1 and negate the activated effects of that Monster.
4/15 Diplexer Chimera
Diplexer Chimera is a Fusion Monster that benefits greatly from so many powerful Link Monsters being Cyberse Type. The only materials Diplexer Chimera requires are any two Cyberse Monsters.
RELATED:Yu-Gi-Oh: 10 Most Powerful Red-Eyes Cards In The Game, Ranked
Its negate effect isn't the greatest, as not many Spell or Trap cards are used in the Battle Phase anymore, and the other effect to recycle a Cyberse Monster and Cynet Fusion is only useful in dedicated builds. However, Diplexer Chimera is a useful Super Polymerization target due to its materials & it can easily get rid of Monsters that disrupt or negate.
3/15 World Chalice Guardragon Almarduke
The power of World Chalice Guardragon Almarduke is somewhat dependent on the metagame, however, when relevant it's one of the best Super Polymerization targets out there. World Chalice Guardragon Almarduke requires 3 Link Monsters as materials. Since Link Monsters are so vital in the current metagame, a well-timed Super Polymerization can completely shut down an opponent's combo. Its effect is also great, as it can attack all Monsters the opponent controls with its high 3000 Attack stat. If the player has a Link Monster in the Graveyard, they can Banish it if it's the same Rank as a Monster attacking World Chalice Guardragon Almarduke.
2/15 Mudragon Of The Swamp
Mudragon Of The Swamp is a Fusion Monster that is going to be going into any Deck running Super Polymerization. All it requires is two Monsters with the same Attribute but different Types. This is an incredibly easy condition to meet, as many end boards end with Monsters of varying Types. Thanks to Link Summoning, it's easy to match an Attribute with the opponent as well to get rid of a problem card. Mudragon Of The Swamp can also protect the player's Monsters, as it can change its Attribute and Monsters of that Attribute cannot be Targeted by effects.
1/15 Starving Venom Fusion Dragon
The face of Super Polymerization, Starving Venom Fusion Dragon only requires any two Dark Monsters to make. When Summoned, it gains Attack equal to the Attack of any Special Summoned Monster the opponent controls, adding onto its already high 2800 Attack. It can also copy the effect of a Level 5 or higher Monster as well as its name. If Starving Venom Fusion Dragon gets destroyed, it can destroy all the Special Summoned Monsters on the opponent's Field. Thanks to Predaplant Verte Anaconda, it can get rid of any 1 Monster since it can turn them Dark while being Dark itself before sending Super Polymerization to copy its effect.
